The show is a celebrity “sound alike” show, not
a show featuring celebrity impersonators.
It features 6 acts per show. There are 3 semi-final rounds and a grand-final round.
Last year’s grand prize was $25,000 and a
recording contract with a major record label.
If picked to appear, contestants receive
choreography lessons, vocal training, and professional hair/makeup/wardrobe (to
be made to resemble the celebrity they sound like).
Must sound identical to a famous singer or group.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Non-professional/Non-union (no SAG, AFTRA, ACTRA, EQUITY).
Must have non-singing related occupation (college student or parent
No longer than 2 or 3 minutes. Note: You may be only taped 1 minute long
due to high volume of people auditioning.
No original songs sound alike only.
The song must be a hit from a famous artist.
The more obscure the song, the worse the chances.
Contestants cannot “sing along” with the actual artists.
They should either bring a Karaoke track or be prepared to sing acapello
if the venue doesn’t have his/her songs.
No costumes, wigs, etc. Contestants
should appear as themselves.
